How to Get Free Beauty Products at Sephora
I’m a student. Studying classical music.
I’m a student studying classical music paying rent in the most expensive city in North America.
And yet, I have a $200 daily skincare routine. How do I afford that?
I actually can’t, and I don’t. Thanks to Sephora and other high-end beauty retailer’s policies, I can enjoy quality skincare without ever spending a dollar and without breaking any rules. Keep reading to learn more about how to get the most bang out of your imaginary buck:
At Sephora, it’s hard to find anything under $20 dollars in a bottle bigger than your thumb. Sephora is divided into three “worlds” – makeup, skincare, and fragrance – and each customer is allowed three free samples of anything of any price from each world. With that, you can walk away with nine samples just for stepping into the store, and each product will be more than enough to complete your beauty routine for at least a few weeks.
You can also sign up to be a Beauty Insider at Sephora simply by subscribing to their email newsletters, and you’ll be gifted on your birthday every year in-store, no purchase necessary.
Lastly, if you have the time, you can talk to the Skincare IQ and Color IQ beauty experts for free recommendations on foundation that match your skin and how to take care of it. You can also ask for a complimentary, no purchase-necessary 15-minute express makeover of the following:
- Smoky Eye
- Perfect Lips
- Treat & Conceal
- Blush & Bronze
- Everyday Eye
- Essential Eyeliner
- Flawless Foundation
- False Lashes
If there isn’t a Sephora on your route, try Nordstrom’s beauty section. Most Nordstroms put out sample bottles and spray bottles so that you can help yourself to as many samples as you want.
There are many ways to get free samples with purchases at other retailers like L’Occitane, Ulta, and Kiehl’s, but these methods will get you free products legitimately for free. These brands are usually available at Nordstrom or Sephora as well. So! Go forth, tuck in your pride, and enjoy your radiant, healthy skin. And when you’ve saved up some cash, you can pay them back with a purchase 😉
